The inspiration behind 'Sunday at Lola's House' stems from artist Marianne Angeli Rodriguez's visits to her Grandmother's house in Manila as a child - the sights, sounds and smells. 'Lola' is Tagalog for 'Grandmother'.
In Marianne's words 'Lola was a firecracker...asking frequently "Are you hungry? You must eat!" It was then when I learned that there are so many ways to say "I love you" without having to speak the words.'
A beautiful artwork visually and in its sentiment, pair it with Marianne's other art print, Bed and Breakfast.
All of our art prints are truly unique - they can be hung in various ways, including being stuck to the wall just like a wall decal - check out the details of how they work here.
