Lay Hoon (also known as Arty Guava) is an artist currently living in Vancouver, Canada. Born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, her aesthetics are heavily influenced by her Asian heritage and her relationship with the natural world.

She began her career as a bioengineer but very quickly made the switch to art and design. Her style is bold and colourful with a hint of Asian spice.
